I like the sketches both in the b/w and in color. The keel point at the bottomline of the chest will be more typical if it is more pronounced. Also it should be positioned further back, perhaps? Not lower, just further back? It is very difficult to illustrate a typical Azawakh head with the head held in that particular position.
It is almost easier to draw a caricature of the Azawakh (such as the one used in a club's logo), than it is to capture its true essence. The angularity of the dog gives you no wriggle room!

ReplyDeleteThe Azawakh is very hard to draw. I keep trying to capture the base essence of them, but feel that I keep falling short.
